6 bone-in or boneless, skinless chicken thighs
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon kosher salt
½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
¼ to ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper
1/3 cup brown sugar, packed
Season the chicken with salt, black pepper and red pepper, and place it in the slow cooker. Sprinkle the garlic and then the brown sugar evenly over the top.
Cover and cook on high for 4 hours or on low for 8 hours.
If you would like a crisp, browned glaze, transfer the chicken thighs to a baking sheet and cook under the broiler for 3 to 5 minutes.
