Mix blueberries and canned peaches for an easy dessert

Are you craving a fruity dessert? Something that looks and tastes fresh and homemade, but takes minimal effort? A dump cake might be for you. Don’t be put off by the name. This quick and casual slow-cooker dessert is the perfect low-key dessert for when you don’t want to go to the store. Just dump everything in, and let the slow-cooker take it from there.
If you’re not a fan of peaches and blueberry, you could easily substitute those with your favorite frozen fruits or whatever you have in your freezer. A berry medley would work, and so would frozen cherries. Get creative!

Slow cooker blueberry peach dump cake

8 ounces canned peaches
8 ounces blueberries
6 tablespoons sugar
½ teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon cornstarch
15-ounce yellow cake mix
½ cup unsalted butter, melted
In the slow cooker, combine the peaches and blueberries, sugar, salt and cornstarch, and stir well.
In a medium mixing bowl, combine the cake mix and melted butter until crumbly.
Spoon the cake mix on top of the fruit mix. Cover, and cook on high for 3-3½ hours.
Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
