The Best Ever Meatloaf Recipe

1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1 medium onion, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup milk
1 egg, lightly beaten
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. dried thyme
1 tsp. dried basil
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1/4 cup ketchup
2 tbsp. brown sugar
2 tbsp. apple cider vinegar
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, basil, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
3. In a separate bowl, mix together the ketchup, brown sugar, and apple cider vinegar.
4. Lightly grease a 9x5 inch (23x13 cm) loaf pan.
5. Press half of the beef mixture into the bottom of the pan, spreading it evenly.
6. Spoon the ketchup mixture over the beef mixture, spreading it evenly.
7. Top with the remaining beef mixture, again spreading it evenly.
8. Bake for 1 hour, or until the internal temperature of the meatloaf reaches 160°F (71°C).
