Unstuffed Cabbage Roll Casserole
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 head of cabbage, shredded
- 1 (15 oz) can diced tomatoes
- 1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 cup uncooked long grain rice
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook ground beef, onion, and garlic until beef is browned and onion is tender.
3. Add cabbage, tomatoes, tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, sugar, salt, and pepper to the skillet and stir to combine.
4. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 10 minutes.
5. Add rice to the skillet and stir to combine.
6. Transfer the mixture to a 9x13 inch baking dish and spread evenly.
7. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 40 minutes.
8. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
9. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
