Crockpot Swiss Steaks
-2 lbs. round steak, cut into 4 pieces
-1/4 cup all-purpose flour
-1 teaspoon garlic powder
-1 teaspoon onion powder
-1 teaspoon paprika
-1/2 teaspoon salt
-1/4 teaspoon black pepper
-2 tablespoons olive oil
-1 (10.5 oz) can cream of mushroom soup
-1/2 cup beef broth
-1/2 cup diced onion
-1/2 cup diced celery
-1/2 cup diced carrots
-1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1. In a shallow bowl, combine flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
3. Dredge each piece of steak in the flour mixture and add to the skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown.
4. Transfer the steaks to a slow cooker.
5. In a medium bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup, beef broth, onion, celery, carrots, and Worcestershire sauce. Pour over the steaks.
6. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or until the steaks are tender.
7. Serve with mashed potatoes or egg noodles. Enjoy!
