As the warm weather rolls around, there's nothing quite like the tantalizing aroma of barbecue wafting through the air, beckoning us to gather around the grill and enjoy the company of friends and family. For many, barbecue is synonymous with summer, and it evokes memories of laughter-filled afternoons, the sound of sizzling meats, and the delightful flavors of sauces, spices, and smoky goodness. But what if I told you that you don't need to wait for the perfect outdoor grilling weather to enjoy the taste of succulent barbecue ribs? You can recreate that beloved barbecue experience right in the comfort of your own kitchen, using your oven!
The story of these Oven BBQ Ribs starts with a special family gathering. It was a rainy summer day, and our plans for a backyard barbecue were thwarted by the weather. Disappointed but determined, my grandmother decided to bring the barbecue indoors. She lovingly prepared a batch of her signature barbecue sauce, coated the ribs with a flavorful rub, and placed them in the oven to slowly cook to perfection. The result was nothing short of magical—tender, fall-off-the-bone ribs coated in a rich, tangy sauce that had everyone reaching for seconds. That day, we learned that some of the best barbecue memories can be made right in our own kitchen, rain or shine. So, I invite you to save and make this recipe, and create your own unforgettable moments with the ones you love.

Recipe: Oven BBQ Ribs
Ingredients:
2 racks of baby back ribs (about 2-3 lbs each)
1 cup of your favorite barbecue sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp paprika
2 tbsp chili powder
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp onion powder
1 tsp cayenne pepper (optional, for added heat)
Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
2. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, paprika, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, and black pepper to create the dry rub.
3. Rinse the ribs and pat them dry with paper towels. Generously coat both sides of the ribs with the dry rub, pressing the mixture into the meat.
4. Place the ribs on a large baking sheet lined with aluminum foil, with the meaty side facing up. Cover the baking sheet tightly with another piece of aluminum foil.
5. Bake the ribs in the preheated oven for 2 to 2.5 hours, or until they are tender and easily pierced with a fork.
6. Remove the ribs from the oven and carefully unwrap the foil. Increase the oven temperature to 450°F (230°C).
7. Generously brush the barbecue sauce over both sides of the ribs.
8. Return the ribs to the oven, uncovered, and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the sauce is caramelized and bubbly.
