Fried cabbage and bacon
Ingredients:

4 slices of bacon, chopped into small pieces
1 small head of cabbage, thinly sliced
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1 teaspoon of paprika
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes (optional, for a spicy kick)
2 tablespoons of olive oil
Instructions:
Heat a large skillet or frying pan over medium heat. Add the chopped bacon and cook until crispy. Remove the bacon from the pan and set it aside, leaving the bacon grease in the pan.
In the same pan with the bacon grease, add the olive oil and heat it over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and minced garlic, and sauté until the onions become translucent and fragrant, about 2-3 minutes.
Add the thinly sliced cabbage to the pan, stirring to combine it with the onions and garlic. Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage begins to soften.
Sprinkle the paprika, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using) over the cabbage. Stir well to evenly coat the cabbage with the spices.
Continue cooking the cabbage for another 5-7 minutes, or until it reaches your desired level of tenderness. If you like it more crisp, cook it for a shorter time, and if you prefer it softer, cook it a bit longer.
Once the cabbage is cooked to your liking, add the cooked bacon back to the pan and stir to combine. Cook for an additional minute or two to reheat the bacon and allow the flavors to meld.
