Ooey Gooey Bars
Ingredients:
1 package of yellow cake mix
3 eggs
8 ounces of softened cream cheese
16 ounces of powdered sugar
8 tablespoons of melted butter
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the yellow cake mix, melted butter, and 1 egg. Stir until the mixture forms a dough-like consistency. This forms the crust.
Press the crust mixture evenly into the bottom of the greased baking dish, creating a smooth and compact layer.
In another mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until it becomes smooth and creamy.
Add 2 beaten eggs to the cream cheese and continue to mix until well combined.
Gradually add the powdered sugar to the cream cheese mixture, stirring until it forms a smooth and gooey batter.
Pour the gooey layer (the cream cheese mixture) over the crust in the baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set.
Remove from the oven and allow the bars to cool completely in the baking dish.
Once cooled, cut into squares or rectangles and serve. Enjoy the deliciously ooey gooey bars!
