Recipe: Hamburger Cabbage Steaks
Hamburger Cabbage Steaks
Ingredients:
6 cabbage slices
For the hamburger patties: 1 lb lean ground beef
1 onion, diced
Salt and pepper to taste
1 teaspoon each of oregano, garlic powder, sweet paprika
For the sauce: Thousand Island dressing for serving (You can also make a homemade version that involves mixing together: 20 grams tomato paste, 150 grams of yogurt, 5 grams of parsley and 5 grams of green onions)
Instructions:
1. Start by preheating your oven to 360°F and grease baking sheet.
2. Lay out the 6 cabbage slices on baking sheet. Season with salt and pepper.
3. Make hamburger patties by mixing the ingredients above for the patty. Put patties on top of the cabbage slices.
4. Top with the homemade sauce, if using. (Optionally, serve with Thousand Island dressing sauce after oven step.)

5. Bake for 40 minutes, or until the cabbage is tender and the edges are slightly crispy.
Once cooked, remove the Hamburger Cabbage Steaks from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
