Homemade Cheesy Garlic Breadsticks
Servings: 8 breadsticks
Ingredients
1 pound pizza dough
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
Salt, to taste
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Directions
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a large rectangle about 1/4-inch thick.
Transfer the dough to the prepared baking sheet.
In a small bowl, mix the melted butter and minced garlic together, then brush evenly over the dough.
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the dough.
Sprinkle the dried Italian seasoning, crushed red pepper flakes, and a pinch of salt over the cheese layer.
Using a pizza cutter or sharp knife, cut the dough into 8 equal breadsticks but do not separate them.
Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the breadsticks are golden and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
Remove from the oven and, if desired, sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley for garnish.
Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy the breadsticks warm.

Variations & Tips
For a twist, consider adding some finely chopped fresh herbs such as rosemary or basil to the topping. If you prefer, you can also substitute the mozzarella with a sharper cheese like cheddar for a different flavor profile. For a healthier alternative, try using whole wheat pizza dough. Those who enjoy a tangy note might appreciate a sprinkle of feta cheese on top.
