Materials- 1/2 gallon glass jars
- Filtered water
- Water bath
Instructions1. Thoroughly clean your glass jars before beginning the process.
2. Fill your jars with filtered water.
3. Place your jars upside down in your water bath.
4. Wait for 5 minutes for the glass jars to fully seal.
5. You can store these jars of water for up to a year.
Additional tips- The CDC recommends you store "a gallon of water per person per day for 3 days for drinking and sanitation."
- You may want to store extra water for sick, pregnant, or otherwise vulnerable members of your household.
- Store water out of direct sunlight.
- Make sure to label your stored water, including adding the date you canned it, for maximum safety.
