It’s often difficult to find a single dish that pleases everyone – picky eaters and foodies alike. However, I found the perfect recipe that everyone in my family enjoys: Turkey Pockets. When I first stumbled upon the recipe, I was skeptical about how simple it sounded. But after making it for the first time, I realized how delicious and easy it truly is. The dish consists of juicy turkey meat stuffed with savory stuffing. It’s perfect for a family dinner, potluck, or even a holiday celebration.
The best part? You get the taste of Thanksgiving in your mouth without all the work. The combination of tender turkey, flavorful stuffing, and rich gravy was an instant hit, making it a new holiday favorite in our house. It just goes to show that sometimes the best culinary adventures can be found online!
Turkey Pockets
Ingredients:
1 pound sliced turkey breast (thicker is generally better but you can also use regular slices)
2 cups Stove Top stuffing
2 cups turkey gravy
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
2. Prep Stove Top stuffing according to package instructions.
3. Lay out the turkey breasts and use a sharp knife to butterfly them open so they lay flat.
4. Place a large dollop of stuffing mixture onto the center of each turkey breast.
5. Season the turkey with salt and pepper to taste.
6. Fold the turkey over the stuffing mixture and use toothpicks to hold it closed.
7. Place the turkey pockets onto a baking sheet and bake for 30 minutes, or until the turkey is cooked through.
8. Allow the turkey to cool for a few minutes before removing the toothpicks and serving.
