Slow Cooker Easy Dog Food Recipe:
Ingredients:
2.5 pounds lean ground beef or turkey
1.5 cups uncooked brown rice
1/2 cup frozen or fresh peas
1.5 cups diced butternut squash
1 can (15 ounces) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
1.5 cups diced carrots
Instructions:
1. In a large slow cooker, combine the ground meat, uncooked brown rice, kidney beans, diced butternut squash, diced carrots, and frozen or canned peas.
2. Add enough water to cover all the ingredients by about an inch.
3. Stir everything well to ensure even distribution.
4. Cover the slow cooker with a lid and set it to cook on LOW for 5-6 hours or HIGH for 2-3 hours.
5. Once the cooking time is up, let the dog food cool completely. Portion out the dog food according to your pet's needs and store it in airtight containers in the refrigerator or freezer.
Serve the appropriate portion to your furry friend at mealtime.
