Cooktop Cove: Whip Nutella into cream and set it over a graham cracker crust for a dessert you'll crave
By Holly Owens
Sometimes, after a long day at work, I crave something sweet but don't have the energy for a full baking session. That's when my No-Bake Nutella Pie comes to the rescue! This recipe is a lifesaver for those busy weeknights when you want to treat yourself without spending hours in the kitchen. It's creamy, chocolatey, and oh-so-satisfying. Plus, it reminds me of the time my best friend and I spent an entire weekend trying to perfect our no-bake dessert skills. This pie was the clear winner!
This No-Bake Nutella Pie pairs wonderfully with a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream. If you're feeling fancy, you can sprinkle some chopped hazelnuts on top for an extra crunch. It's a great dessert to serve after a light dinner, like a fresh salad or grilled chicken, to balance out the richness of the pie.
No-Bake Nutella Pie
Servings: 8
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1/4 cup melted butter
1 cup Nutella
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup heavy whipping cream
Directions
In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Mix until the crumbs are evenly coated.
Press the crumb mixture into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie pan to form the crust. Place in the refrigerator to set while you prepare the filling.
In a large mixing bowl, beat the Nutella and cream cheese together until smooth and creamy.
Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract to the Nutella mixture and beat until well combined.
In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
Gently fold the whipped cream into the Nutella mixture until fully incorporated.
Pour the filling into the prepared crust and smooth the top with a spatula.
Refrigerate the pie for at least 4 hours, or until set. For best results, chill overnight.
Slice and serve chilled. Enjoy!
Variations & Tips
For a nutty twist, try adding a layer of crushed hazelnuts between the crust and filling. You can also experiment with different crusts, like using Oreo cookies instead of graham crackers for a chocolatey base. If you're a fan of fruit, top the pie with sliced strawberries or bananas before serving. For a lighter version, use reduced-fat cream cheese and whipped topping instead of heavy cream.
