Cooktop Cove: Place raw chuck roast in the slow cooker with these 3 ingredients. The meal is completely melt-in-your-mouth goodness
By Holly Owens
There's something magical about coming home to the aroma of a slow-cooked meal, especially when it's as effortless as this 4-ingredient Coca-Cola roast. This recipe is a lifesaver for busy weekdays when you crave a hearty, home-cooked meal but don't have the time to fuss over it. The Coca-Cola adds a unique sweetness and tenderizes the meat beautifully, making it a favorite in my household. Trust me, once you try this, it'll become a staple in your meal rotation.
This Coca-Cola roast pairs wonderfully with creamy mashed potatoes or buttery corn on the cob. For a lighter option, serve it alongside a fresh green salad or steamed vegetables. The savory-sweet flavors of the roast also complement a side of roasted root vegetables, making it a versatile dish for any occasion.
Slow Cooker 4-Ingredient Coca-Cola Roast
Servings: 6
Ingredients
3-4 pounds beef chuck roast
1 packet onion soup mix
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
1 can (12 oz) Coca-Cola
Directions
Place the beef chuck roast in the slow cooker.
Sprinkle the onion soup mix evenly over the roast.
Pour the cream of mushroom soup over the top, spreading it gently with a spoon.
Slowly pour the Coca-Cola around the sides of the roast.
Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours, or until the meat is tender and easily shreds with a fork.
Once cooked, remove the roast from the slow cooker and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing or shredding.
Serve with your favorite sides and enjoy!
Variations & Tips
For a bit of a kick, add a teaspoon of crushed red pepper flakes or a splash of hot sauce to the mix. If you're not a fan of cream of mushroom soup, you can substitute it with cream of celery or cream of chicken soup. For a richer flavor, sear the roast in a hot skillet with a little oil before placing it in the slow cooker. This adds a nice depth to the dish.
