Cooktop Cove: I've never cooked sausages this way before, but it's truly transformative!
By Morgan Reed
Oven baked glazed honey garlic sausages are a delightful fusion of sweet and savory flavors, perfect for a cozy family dinner or a casual gathering with friends. This dish draws inspiration from the classic combination of honey and garlic, which has been cherished in various cuisines around the world for its ability to enhance the natural flavors of meats. The glaze not only adds a beautiful sheen to the sausages but also infuses them with a rich, aromatic taste. This recipe is an excellent choice for those looking to elevate their sausage game with minimal effort.
These honey garlic sausages pair wonderfully with a variety of sides. Consider serving them with a creamy mashed potato or a light, tangy coleslaw to balance the sweetness of the glaze. A fresh green salad with a citrus vinaigrette can also complement the rich flavors of the dish. For a more hearty meal, you might add a side of roasted vegetables or a warm, crusty bread to soak up any extra glaze.

1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Place the sausages in a rectangular aluminum foil container or a baking dish.
In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, olive oil, minced garlic, and black pepper.
Pour the honey garlic mixture over the sausages, ensuring they are well coated.
Scatter the sliced onions among the sausages.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, turning the sausages halfway through, until they are golden brown and cooked through.
Remove from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
Garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired.
Variations & Tips
For a spicier kick, add a teaspoon of chili flakes or a dash of hot sauce to the glaze mixture. You can also experiment with different types of sausages, such as chicken or turkey, for a lighter option. If you prefer a smokier flavor, try adding a teaspoon of smoked paprika to the glaze. For a more robust taste, consider marinating the sausages in the honey garlic mixture for a few hours before baking.
