Cooktop Cove: Double trouble: How to make chicken wonton cups two ways
By Kayla Dalsfoist
Wonton wrappers are the unsung heroes of the appetizer world, binding all our favorite ingredients together in a perfectly crispy package. To embrace wonton wrappers' versatility, Trevor and Jennifer of
Show Me the Yummy whip up two different — but equally delicious — versions of chicken wonton cups.
In the video below, the masterminds behind Show Me the Yummy make barbecue chicken wonton cups and buffalo chicken wonton cups, both with the ideal cheeses to complement the tangy sauces. While you can make your own barbecue and hot sauces, store bought works just as well.
On the
blog, the focus is on the buffalo version of this recipe. This sauce is a combination of hot sauce (pick your favorite) and blue cheese. The exact ratio can be adjusted to suit your preferences.
The barbecue version goes amazingly well with Monterey jack cheese. Garnish as desired, serve, and enjoy! Jennifer admits to making these three nights in a row: "Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday night and you know what? I’m not the sliiiiightest bit embarrassed."
No matter which filling you choose to make, you won't be disappointed by these tasty little morsels. For a full step-by-step tutorial, be sure to visit Show Me the Yummy or watch the video below. Don't forget to share with other appetizer aficionados!
