By McKayla Davis
This Parmesan Crusted Chicken is a delightful dish that brings restaurant-quality flavor right to your home. It's a copycat recipe from Longhorn Steakhouse, known for its savory, cheesy topping that pairs beautifully with tender, juicy chicken breasts. Perfect for family dinners or gatherings with friends, this dish is sure to impress everyone at the table.
Serve this tasty chicken with a side of creamy mashed potatoes or roasted vegetables for a complete meal. A fresh garden salad would also balance out the richness of the dish beautifully. For a lighter option, consider serving with steamed broccoli or a side of green beans.
Longhorn Steakhouse Copycat Parmesan Crusted Chicken
Servings: 4
Ingredients
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 cup panko breadcrumbs
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup shredded Provolone cheese
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup ranch dressing
1/4 cup melted butter
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
Directions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
In a large oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, until they are golden brown.
Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake the chicken for 15-20 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
While the chicken is baking, mix the panko breadcrumbs and melted butter in a small bowl.
In another bowl, combine the Parmesan cheese, Provolone cheese, and mozzarella cheese.
Remove the chicken from the oven and spread a spoonful of ranch dressing on each breast.
Top each chicken breast with the cheese mixture, followed by a sprinkle of the buttered panko breadcrumbs.
Return the skillet to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the breadcrumbs are golden brown.
Serve hot and enjoy!
Variations & Tips
For picky eaters, you can use only one type of cheese instead of the blend, such as just using mozzarella. If you prefer a spicier version, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the breadcrumb mixture. For a lighter version, try using Greek yogurt instead of ranch dressing and skip the butter in the breadcrumbs, using a bit more olive oil instead.
