Hot Fudge Brownie Bread
Servings: 8-10
Ingredients
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup hot fudge sauce, plus more for drizzling
Directions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan and set it aside.
In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and granulated sugar until well combined.
Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined. Be careful not to overmix.
Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan, spreading it evenly. Drizzle half of the hot fudge sauce over the batter.
Pour the remaining batter over the hot fudge layer, spreading it evenly. Drizzle the rest of the hot fudge sauce on top.
Use a knife or skewer to gently swirl the hot fudge sauce into the batter, creating a marbled effect.
Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
Variations & Tips
For a nutty twist, stir in 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts or pecans into the batter before baking. If you're a fan of fruity flavors, add 1/2 cup of cherry or raspberry preserves to the hot fudge for a delicious contrast. For a more intense chocolate flavor, use dark cocoa powder instead of regular cocoa powder. Lastly, feel free to experiment with different types of hot fudge sauce, such as caramel or peanut butter hot fudge, for a unique and tasty variation.
