Cooktop Cove: Whenever I know my hubby is not happy with me, this is the one dish that will cheer him up!

There's something truly comforting about a classic Midwestern dish, and these Baked Parmesan Crusted Pork Chops are a family favorite around here. The crispy, cheesy crust is irresistible, and the tender pork inside makes them a hit at the dinner table. This recipe is a great way to add some flair to your usual pork chop routine, and it's perfect for those evenings when you want to treat your loved ones to something special without spending hours in the kitchen.
These pork chops are wonderfully versatile and can be paired with a variety of sides. For a colorful plate, try serving them with steamed green beans and roasted red potatoes. A refreshing garden salad or a creamy coleslaw would also complement the rich flavors beautifully. And of course, a warm, buttered roll on the side is always a welcome addition in our home.
Baked Parmesan Crusted Pork Chops
Servings: 4
Ingredients
4 boneless pork chops, about 1 inch thick
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
Directions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
In a shallow bowl, mix together the Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
Spread a little Dijon mustard over each pork chop, then dip them into the Parmesan mixture, pressing to ensure an even coating.
Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the pork chops and sear them for 2–3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
Transfer the pork chops to the prepared baking dish and bake in the preheated oven for 15–20 minutes, or until the pork is cooked through and the crust is golden and crispy.
Let the pork chops rest for a few minutes before serving.
Variations & Tips
For a gluten-free version, use almond flour or gluten-free breadcrumbs in place of regular breadcrumbs. If you have picky eaters, try using a mild cheese blend instead of Parmesan. To add a bit more spice, a dash of cayenne or paprika in the breadcrumb mix can give it a nice kick. These chops are also delicious paired with a tangy barbecue sauce drizzle if your family enjoys a bit of Sweet & Smoky flavor.
