Cooktop Cove: How to make a mint Oreo cheesecake
By Henry Cannon
If you're one of those individuals who, upon opening a package of Oreos, can't help themselves but devour an entire sleeve, then we have a dessert for you. The recipe comes courtesy of Cookies, Cupcakes, and Cardio, a popular YouTube channel which focuses on all things sweet. If you're a regular baker or a mere novice, the channel's video tutorials are perfect for chefs of any level.
The below recipe is for a mint Oreo cheesecake. With St. Patrick's Day right around the corner, this would be the perfect dessert to dish out after the corned beef and cabbage is gone. In addition to your basic baking components, you'll need Oreos, cream cheese and green food dye. If they're available at a store near you, pick up some Nestle Aero Bubbles for decoration purposes.
The first step is to mix together the components of the Oreo crust.
Pat the crust down into a baking dish.
Now it's time to work on the cheesecake mix. Don't forget that green food dye!
Pour your cheesecake mix over the Oreo crust.
Layer Oreo bits over the dish, add a bit more cake mix, and top it off with a mew more Oreos.
Bake your cake, let it cool, and decorate as desired.
