One-pot Parmesan garlic noodles
The One Pot Chef's unique way of making this dish really minimizes the work in the kitchen. By doing all the cooking in one pot, clean-up time is greatly decreased. Because the dish is super simple and basic, it's perfect for tweaking and making your own by adding your own unique set of ingredients. It essentially gives a great framework from which to create a masterpiece.
Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 15 minutes
2 tablespoon olive oil
4 cloves of garlic, minced
1 tablespoon. of butter
freshly cracked black pepper
3 cups (750 ml) of chicken, beef or vegetable stock
9 ounces (250 g or half a box) of angel hair pasta (or similar thin, quick-cooking pasta)
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
3/4 cup of cream
1 tablespoon of freshly chopped parsley
1. In a deep sauce pan on the stove, warm the oil and garlic together and start to cook. Add the butter, cracked pepper to taste and liquid stock and bring to a rolling boil on the stove.
2. Place the pasta in the boiling liquid and push it in until it's submerged. Let it cook for 4 to 5 minutes or until the pasta is tender. Turn the temperature to medium and add the cheese, cream and parsley.
3. Mix the pasta until the cheese has melted. Remove the dish from the heat, and serve.
Pro tip: If you want to make this the main dish instead of a side, you can add some pre-cooked, shredded chicken and fresh asparagus to it. Adding a little bit of cheddar cheese or bacon will help kick the flavor up.
