Cooktop Cove: How to make French onion pork chops in the slow cooker (video)

Sure, you could make French onion soup in your slow cooker. And you could make pork chops in your slow cooker. Or, as you'll see in the recipe below, you could combine the two and get the flavor of your favorite soup in an entree form that will totally fill you up.
This dish is not only flavorful but also super easy and requires only four ingredients (plus salt and pepper). Yep, you read that right: just four ingredients! So not only will it not break your budget, but it also means that after you slice a couple of onions, your prep is done, and you are free to get on with your day.
Slow cooker French Onion Pork Chops

2 onions, thinly sliced
2 cups beef broth
1½ pounds boneless center-cut pork loin chops
2 cups shredded Swiss cheese
Salt, to taste
Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Place onions in the bottom of a 6-quart slow cooker. Pour beef broth over the top.
Season the pork chops generously with salt and pepper and place on top of the onions and beef broth. Cover with lid and cook on low for 3½ hours.
Remove lid and sprinkle about 1/2 cup of Swiss cheese on each pork chop. Return lid and continue to cook for about 30 minutes, just until the cheese has melted.
