Cooktop Cove: Score ham & place in slow cooker. The sauce on this dish is pure deliciousness
By Kate Elliott
Honey and mustard go together so well. And when you pour that deliciousness over a ham, those flavors only get better and better. Not only is it a tasty way to enjoy this affordable protein, but it also only takes five ingredients. And you probably have all five in your fridge and pantry right now. How many recipes can boast that?
The recipe below is very flexible. If you don't have Dijon mustard, use yellow mustard instead. The ham will turn out just fine. If you don't have apple juice, chicken stock or even just water will work too. This recipe is so simple, you can truly make it your own. Add some fresh herbs such as rosemary or thyme into the mix, and it will be a thing of beauty. If you don't want to take a chance, try the basic recipe first and see what you'd add or subtract next time.
