Cooktop Cove: These Cajun-inspired collard greens are so easy to make in the slow cooker
By Emily Monaco
True Southern greens are cooked on the stovetop, which can take quite a long time to do properly. Luckily, slow cookers make versions like the recipe below possible Just toss everything in before heading to work or bed, and let it cook low and slow for 6 to 8 hours. The resulting greens will be fall-apart tender and ultra flavorful.
These greens make a delicious side dish to simple roasted pork loin or pan-fried pork chops. Be sure to serve them with a side of cornbread to soak up all that luscious cooking liquid.
