Cooktop Cove: Pour gravy mix over chicken for a new spin on a classic dish
By Robin Donovan
This easy slow-cooker chicken and gravy recipe is the best kind of comfort food. Juicy chicken breasts napped in a hearty and flavorful sauce are food for the body and the soul. To make this recipe even more appealing, the ingredients go into your slow cooker in the morning, and the dish cooks, hands-free, while you go about your day.
If you like, you can add vegetables to make this into a one-pot meal. Mushrooms go especially well with the flavor profile here, and they'll also hold up nicely to hours of slow cooking. Egg noodles or rice round out the meal.
