Cooktop Cove: Line Peeps in a circle inside a skillet and get a fun dessert everyone will love
By Matt Jenner
When Easter's around the corner, you need a colorful, kid-friendly dessert that you can make in a snap. This Peeps S'mores dip comes together quickly, in just over 10 minutes, and kids love scooping up the sweet, chocolatey dip with the melted Peeps on top. Two types of chocolate, white and dark, are layered in a cast iron skillet, topped with festive Peeps marshmallows and baked to create a creamy, sticky holiday treat.
There is no right or wrong way to make this dessert, so it can be personalized however you would like, but the recipe below calls for just four ingredients: the two varieties of chocolate, the Peeps, and the graham crackers used to dip. While clearly this makes an outstanding holiday dessert, the recipe could be made for a variety of outdoor events or picnics.

10 ounces. white chocolate chips
10 ounces dark chocolate chips
3 packages Peeps marshmallows in various colors
1 box graham crackers for dipping
Preheat the oven to 400 F.
In a cast iron skillet, pour the white chocolate chips in an even layer.
Cover the white chocolate with the dark chocolate chips, also in an even layer.
Arrange the Peeps on top of the dark chocolate along the perimeter of the skillet.
Place the skillet in the oven, and bake for 5-7 minutes.
Remove the skillet from the oven and allow to rest for 5 minutes for the skillet to cool and the chocolate to fully melt.
Serve directly in the skillet alongside a bowl of graham crackers, broken into sticks.
Pro-tip: This dessert can be made for more than just Easter! Swap out Peeps for regular marshmallows, and top your dip with mini peanut butter cups or M&M's.
Pro-tip: If you're not a fan of white or dark chocolate, semi-sweet or milk chocolate will also work perfectly.
