Directions
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a spoon or spatula, until very well browned and no pink remains, 8–10 minutes. Carefully spoon off excess grease if there is a lot, but leave a couple of tablespoons for flavor.
Transfer the browned ground beef, along with any browned bits from the pan, into a large slow cooker (5 to 7 quarts). Spread it out in an even layer.
