Serve this warm, straight from the slow cooker, spooned into small bowls. A scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of lightly sweetened whipped cream melts into the gooey center and highlights the bitter edge of the cocoa. Fresh berries—especially raspberries or sliced strawberries—add a bright, tart contrast that keeps the dessert from feeling too heavy in summer.
