This slow cooker 3-ingredient creamy Caesar chicken is the kind of dinner that feels like a little secret weapon on a busy day. With just chicken breasts, creamy Caesar dressing, and Parmesan cheese, the slow cooker does all the hard work and turns everything into a rich, tender main dish with almost no effort. It is a wonderful family-style recipe for nights when you want something cozy and comforting without standing over the stove.
Serve this creamy chicken over hot pasta, fluffy rice, mashed potatoes, or buttered egg noodles to catch every bit of the sauce. It is also lovely with steamed broccoli, green beans, a crisp salad, or warm rolls on the side. If you want to keep things simple for kids and picky eaters, plain noodles and a little extra Parmesan usually make this dinner disappear fast.
Slow Cooker 3-Ingredient Creamy Caesar Chicken
Servings: 4 to 6
Ingredients
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 cup creamy Caesar dressing
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Directions
1. Lightly coat the inside of your slow cooker with nonstick spray if desired, then place the chicken breasts in an even layer in the bottom.
2. Pour the creamy Caesar dressing evenly over the chicken, making sure each piece is well coated.
3. Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese over the top, cover, and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours or on high for 2 to 3 hours, until the chicken is very tender and cooked through.
4. Once done, gently shred or pull apart the chicken right in the slow cooker and stir it into the sauce so every bite gets coated. Serve warm.
Variations & Tips
For extra richness: Stir in a few spoonfuls of cream cheese during the last 20 to 30 minutes of cooking for an even silkier sauce. This is especially nice if you plan to serve it over pasta.
For picky eaters: Shred the chicken very finely and serve it over plain noodles or rice with a little extra Parmesan on top. The familiar creamy texture makes it easier for kids to enjoy.
Add a veggie boost: Toss in steamed broccoli, peas, or spinach right before serving. That way the vegetables stay bright and do not get overcooked in the slow cooker.
Use chicken thighs: Boneless, skinless chicken thighs work beautifully here and stay especially juicy. They may need about the same cooking time, but always check that they are fully cooked and tender.
Don’t overcook: Slow cooker chicken breasts can dry out if left too long, so check for doneness on the early side if your slow cooker runs hot. Once the chicken shreds easily, it is ready.
