S’mores aren’t just for campfires anymore. With the recipe below, you can make them any time, just about anywhere. There’s no need to split logs or wait for a fire to catch. You don’t even need to collect marshmallow sticks.
This is a set-it-and-forget it dessert with all the flavors of campfire s’mores in a gooey, chocolatey dip. To make it even more special, you can make the dip in a 2-quart ramekin or baking dish that fits inside your slow cooker, and then top it with a layer of marshmallows, and heat it under the broiler for a couple of minutes to get the marshmallows melty and toasty brown just before serving.

IngredientsOne (12-ounce) bag semisweet chocolate chips
One (10-ounce) bag marshmallows
½ cup heavy (whipping) cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
One box graham crackers, for serving
Directions1. In a 1 ½ or 2-quart baking dish that fits inside the pot of your slow cooker, combine the chocolate chips, marshmallows, cream, vanilla, and salt.
Start with chocolate chips.
Then add marshmallows.
Follow with cream.
Then vanilla and salt.
2. Stir to mix.
Cover and cook on low for 2 hours. Once it's done, mix.
You'll get a very velvety rich texture, as shown below.
Serve hot with graham crackers for dipping.
