I like to make this with classic marinara sauce, but feel free to customize with your favorite sauce: chunky, meaty or spicy. The biscuit dough crisps beautifully, just like a toasted bun.

1 can (16 ounces, 460 g) Pillsbury Grands biscuits
1 bag (20 ounces, 570 g) frozen meatballs
2 cups (480 ml) spaghetti sauce
1½ cups (75 g) shredded mozzarella cheese
Heat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease a 9-by-13-inch baking pan generously with butter or oil.
Remove biscuits from can. Cut each one into eight wedges and arrange evenly in bottom of prepared dish.
Arrange meatballs on top of biscuits and cover with sauce, starting with a cup and adding more to desired level of sauciness. Sprinkle cheese on top.
Bake for 40 to 50 minutes, until browned and bubbling.

Pro tip: You can also use slices of provolone cheese in place of the shredded mozzarella.
