Honey and sesame make a wonderful combination. You can have them together either sweet or savory. In the recipe below we use chicken thighs and let them cook slowly to soak up the sweetness of the honey and saltines of the soy sauce.
A slurry is made by mixing together water and cornstarch, this will slightly thicken the sauce to coat the chicken. Honey, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, soy sauce and pepper are added into the slow then combined with slurry. The chicken gets coated in the sauce and cooked on high for 4 hours. Finish the dish with fresh chopped cilantro and toasted sesame seeds.
