What's my favorite part of Thanksgiving? It's the stuffing, without a doubt. I look forward to it every year and I've even gone so far as to make my own sausage for the event. For some reason, though, it feels sacrilegious to make stuffing outside of the annual Thanksgiving celebration...but that doesn't mean I don't want to eat it all year round! That's what I love about the recipe below: it's essentially stuffing cake, but it's different enough from my Thanksgiving variety that I don't feel bad about eating it anytime!
Don't let the word cake fool you here - this recipe is seriously savory in the best ways. The deeply seasoned pork sausage gets a fresh boost from crisp red bell peppers and spicy jalapeno peppers.
