These slow cooker 4-ingredient corn dog meatballs are the kind of easy, crowd-pleasing dinner or party dish that makes a busy weeknight feel a little more manageable. It has that fun, comfort-food vibe of classic corn dogs and barbecue meatballs rolled into one warm, hearty slow cooker meal, and I love it for game days, potlucks, or those nights when dinner needs to be almost effortless but still feel like something everyone is excited to eat.

Serve these with coleslaw, potato wedges, baked beans, or a crisp green salad to balance the sweet and savory flavors. They also work really well on a party spread with pickle spears, kettle chips, and little dishes of extra barbecue sauce, honey mustard, or yellow mustard for dipping.

Ingredients

1 bag (32 ounces) frozen fully cooked mini corn dogs

1 bag (26 ounces) frozen raw beef meatballs
1 bottle (18 ounces) barbecue sauce
1/2 cup honey mustard

Directions

1. Lightly coat the inside of the slow cooker with nonstick spray if desired for easier cleanup. Add the frozen raw beef meatballs to the bottom of the slow cooker in an even layer.

2. Dump the frozen mini corn dogs over the meatballs, spreading them out so they are loosely layered throughout the slow cooker.

3. In a small bowl, stir together the barbecue sauce and honey mustard until smooth, then pour the mixture evenly over the corn dogs and meatballs.

4. Cover and cook on LOW for 4 to 5 hours or on HIGH for 2 1/2 to 3 hours, stirring gently once or twice if possible, until the meatballs are fully cooked through and the corn dogs are hot.

5. Gently stir, then serve warm straight from the slow cooker or transfer to a serving bowl with extra mustard or barbecue sauce on the side.

Variations & Tips

Sweeter sauce: If your family likes that sweet-and-smoky flavor, use a honey barbecue sauce instead of regular barbecue sauce. It gives the dish a slightly stickier glaze that works really well with the corn dog coating.

Mustard swap: Yellow mustard or Dijon can stand in for honey mustard if that is what you have in the fridge. If using yellow mustard, stir in 1 to 2 tablespoons of honey or brown sugar to keep the balance of flavors.

Party serving tip: For game day or potlucks, switch the slow cooker to the warm setting once everything is cooked and serve with toothpicks. It keeps the dish easy to grab and helps it stay hot for a couple of hours.

Check doneness: Because the meatballs start raw and frozen, make sure they reach a safe internal temperature of 160°F before serving. Slow cookers can vary a lot, so the first time you make this recipe it is worth checking one of the larger meatballs with a thermometer.

Make cleanup easier: A slow cooker liner can be a lifesaver on busy nights. This sauce gets thick and sticky as it cooks, so liners or a quick spray of oil make washing up much simpler.
