This easy slow cooker s'mores dessert is the kind of fun, low-fuss treat that makes an ordinary evening feel a little special. It takes just four simple ingredients and turns them into a warm, gooey, chocolate-marshmallow dessert with all the cozy flavor of classic s'mores, but without needing a campfire. Using giant pink marshmallows gives it a playful look that kids especially love, and the slow cooker does most of the work for you.

Serve this sweet treat warm with extra graham crackers for scooping, or spoon it into small bowls with vanilla ice cream for a crowd-pleasing dessert. Fresh strawberries or sliced bananas make a nice addition on the side, and if you're setting out a dessert board, this pairs beautifully with pretzels, wafer cookies, and apple slices for dipping.

Ingredients

12 unwrapped giant fluffy pink marshmallows

2 cups milk chocolate chips
1 1/2 cups broken graham crackers, plus more for serving
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into small pieces

Directions

1. Lightly grease the inside of your slow cooker insert. Spread the broken graham crackers across the bottom, then scatter the butter pieces over the crackers.

2. Sprinkle the milk chocolate chips evenly over the graham cracker layer.

3. Arrange the unwrapped giant pink marshmallows in an even layer over the chocolate chips, covering as much of the top as you can.

4. Cover and cook on low for 1 to 1 1/2 hours, until the chocolate is melted and the marshmallows are very soft and puffed. If you like a slightly golden top, remove the lid for the last 10 minutes of cooking.

5. Turn off the slow cooker and let the dessert rest for 5 minutes. Scoop and serve warm with extra graham crackers for dipping or spooning alongside.

Variations & Tips

Classic marshmallow version: If pink marshmallows are hard to find, regular white giant marshmallows work just as well and still give you that classic s'mores flavor everyone expects.

Extra chocolatey: For a richer dessert, use a mix of milk chocolate chips and semisweet chocolate chips. This helps balance the sweetness and gives the filling a deeper chocolate flavor.

Peanut-free dessert board: Set this out with graham crackers, vanilla wafers, sliced bananas, and strawberries for dipping to make dessert feel a little more festive for family movie night or sleepovers.

Watch the cooking time: Slow cookers can vary quite a bit, so start checking at the 1-hour mark. You want melted chocolate and soft marshmallows, not overcooked edges.
