Slow cooker pork chops are the kind of practical dinner that earns a regular spot in a busy household because they require very little prep and turn a modest cut of meat into something tender and flavorful. Using bone-in pork chops helps the meat stay juicy during the long, gentle cooking time, while a simple four-ingredient combination creates a rich sauce right in the crock. This is a useful recipe for weeknights, cool-weather suppers, or any day when you want dinner handled with almost no fuss.

Serve these pork chops with mashed potatoes, buttered egg noodles, rice, or creamy polenta to catch all of the savory sauce. For vegetables, green beans, roasted carrots, steamed broccoli, or a crisp side salad all work well, and if you want a full comfort-food plate, add a basket of warm rolls or a slice of cornbread.

Ingredients

4 bone-in pork chops, about 3/4 to 1 inch thick

1 ounce ranch seasoning mix
1 packet brown gravy mix, about 0.87 to 1 ounce
1 can cream of chicken soup, 10.5 ounces

Directions

1. Lightly coat the inside of the slow cooker with nonstick spray or a thin film of oil if desired for easier cleanup. Place the bone-in pork chops in an even layer in the bottom of the slow cooker, overlapping slightly if needed.

2. In a medium bowl, stir together the ranch seasoning mix, brown gravy mix, and cream of chicken soup until well blended into a thick sauce.

3. Spread the sauce evenly over the pork chops, covering the tops as much as possible. Put the lid on the slow cooker and cook on low for 5 to 6 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours, until the pork is tender and cooked through.

4. Once done, spoon some of the sauce from the slow cooker over the chops before serving. Serve hot with mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles and a green vegetable on the side.

Variations & Tips

For deeper flavor: If you have a few extra minutes, brown the pork chops in a skillet for 2 to 3 minutes per side before adding them to the slow cooker. This step is optional, but it adds more color and a richer, roasted flavor to the finished dish.

Choose the right chops: Bone-in chops that are at least 3/4 inch thick hold up best in the slow cooker. Very thin chops can become dry more quickly, especially if cooked on high.

Sauce consistency: If you would like a thinner sauce, stir in 1/4 to 1/2 cup of chicken broth before cooking. For a thicker sauce at the end, remove the cooked chops and let the sauce sit uncovered on high for a few minutes, or whisk in a small cornstarch slurry.

Make it mushroom-style: Replace the cream of chicken soup with cream of mushroom soup for an earthier flavor that pairs especially well with mashed potatoes or egg noodles.

Storage tip: Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat gently with extra sauce to help keep the pork moist.
