A 3-ingredient slow cooker pork sirloin roast is the kind of comforting dinner that saves a busy day and still feels special when everyone sits down to eat. Starting with a raw pork sirloin roast keeps prep wonderfully simple, and the slow cooker does the hard work while the meat becomes tender and full of flavor. This is a great family-style recipe for potlucks, Sunday supper, or any night when you want a hearty main dish without a sink full of pans.
Serve this pork roast with mashed potatoes, buttered egg noodles, rice, or roasted vegetables to soak up the flavorful juices. It also makes a nice plate with green beans, corn, a crisp side salad, or warm dinner rolls, and leftovers are delicious tucked into sandwiches or piled over baked potatoes the next day.
3-Ingredient Slow Cooker Pork Sirloin Roast
Servings: 6 to 8
Ingredients
1 raw pork sirloin roast, about 3 to 4 pounds
Directions
1. Lightly coat the inside of the slow cooker with nonstick spray if desired for easier cleanup. Place the raw pork sirloin roast in the bottom of the slow cooker.
2. Sprinkle the dry onion soup mix evenly over the top of the roast, then spoon the cranberry sauce over it, spreading it across the surface as much as you can.
3. Cover and cook on low for 7 to 8 hours or on high for 4 to 5 hours, until the pork is very tender and reaches a safe internal temperature. The roast should be easy to slice or shred with a fork.
4. Transfer the roast to a cutting board or serving platter. Let it rest for 5 to 10 minutes, then slice or shred and spoon some of the juices from the slow cooker over the top before serving.
Variations & Tips
For extra savory flavor: If you like a deeper, more savory finish, add a small splash of low-sodium chicken broth or a spoonful of Dijon mustard along with the other ingredients. It is still very easy, but gives the sauce a little more body.
For picky eaters: Slice the finished pork thinly and serve the sauce on the side so everyone can add as much or as little as they like. This is also a nice way to use the meat for sandwiches with soft rolls.
For a smoother sauce: If you prefer fewer fruit pieces in the finished dish, whisk the cooking juices after the roast comes out, or mash the softened cranberry mixture gently with a spoon before serving.
Cooking tip: Pork sirloin roast is leaner than some other cuts, so keeping the lid closed while it cooks helps hold in moisture. Check for doneness near the end of the cooking time and avoid overcooking so the slices stay tender.
